Suited & Booted On Oxford Street

Established in 1913, British brand Hawes & Curtis have completed the lease of 2,300 sq ft of prime retail space in central London on The Langham Estate at 156 Oxford Street. The premises will be the second that Hawes & Curtis have agreed to lease on Oxford Street within a matter of weeks. The retailer is perhaps most well known as a vendor of suits, shirts and ties but in fact boasts a wide range of both men’s and womenswear.

Hawes & Curtis are also expanding internationally, already having stores in Germany and Dubai and launching online in Germany and Australia. Although the brand claims notable customers such as Cary Grant, Fred Astaire and Frank Sinatra and has previously received four royal warrants, entrepreneur Touker Suleyman bought the company for just £1 in 2002. The award-winning businessman has since re-established the retailer not only in the UK but globally.

The arrival of Hawes & Curtis at 156 Oxford Street is confirmation of the changing face of the world famous shopping destination east of the Circus. This change has been primarily influenced by the forthcoming arrival of Crossrail in the area.
