Open Call: Mural on Mortimer

Mural on Mortimer Open Call
The Langham Estate is seeking an emerging artist to create a striking new mural for the Fitzrovia Quarter in central London, which captures the vibrancy of the area’s past and present.
The new commission for 63-65 Mortimer Street is a rare opportunity for an emerging artist or collective to add to Fitzrovia’s diverse streetscape, creating a new local landmark. This Open Call is seeking proposals from artists with an understanding of the area who can engage workers, residents and visitors to Fitzrovia in the creation of the final artwork.
Artists are invited to submit their expressions of interest, outlining their proposed approach to the commission, by 1 May 2025. A shortlist of up to eight proposals will be selected via a review panel and a winner chosen by the end of May. Ideas for the design will be tested with local audiences before being finalised and delivered on Mortimer Street in Autumn 2025.
